Tea with You

Come and have some tea with me

I can talk to you about love

I will tell you how I feel

when I look into your eyes;

I may show you how my heart beats fast

when you walk into the room

and fill it with your presence and your voice;

I will show you the way to my heart

with no restraints and chains,

and I will give you my hand

to rest on your cheek,

my eyes to lighten your way

my heart to watch over you

every hour of the day;

or if you do not wish to talk of love,

I could pretend to be the moon

you gaze at and breathe so deep,

or I can be that friend

that talks to you about the children

about family and the busy life

if that makes you smile

or keep you in comfort;

I could just be silent and watch you

do your ordinary routine

watch every move,

imprint it in my mind;

I just want to drink tea

with you

in a silent warm room

where only you could read my lips

and feel what my eyes want to say

come and let us have some tea

I have missed you so much today.
